About me
I’m a second-year PhD student at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, Switzerland, in the People-Centered Computing Lab led by Professor Marc Langheinrich and Professor Silvia Santini. I work on Federated Learning with heterogeneous conditions and semi-/un-supervised techs. (CV) I also developed a wide range of interests in ubiquitous computing and wearable computing, with a general focus on healthcare. Before joining USI I was working on wearable devices for cardiac care in UC San Diego.
I go by the name Matteo as well ;) (recommended by a friend)
As a hobby I’m an utmost retrophile with great enthusiasm about vintage, and retro/ (dark)synth/ vapor/ funk/ disco-mix/ jazz-wave/ lo-fi music and more.
